Fibrocystic Breast Disease Vs Breast Cancer

Are you a woman? Have you developed breasts? If you answered ‘yes’ to either of these questions odds are that you have experienced breast pain before. This painful condition that haunts women may sometimes be referred to as Fibrocystic Breast Disease.

The complex nature of breasts is often completely underestimated. They do much more than give a woman her ‘curves’. Their main purpose, on women and all mammals, is to provide milk. Their actions are controlled by different hormones in the woman’s body.

The diagnosis of Fibrocystic Breast Disease is often overly used to diagnose any breast pain that a woman experiences. This term is also used by health care providers when they notice a ‘lumpiness’ in a woman’s tissue during a clinical exam. The actual definition of Fibrocystic Breast Disease is an overall change in the fibrous tissue with the formation of cysts.

Symptoms of Fibrocystic Breast Disease 神秘顧客 include pain, mobile lumps in the breast tissue, tenderness and intermittent swelling and hardening of the breast tissue. Because of the hormonal influence, these symptoms may worsen the week before a woman’s period starts. The upper-outer quadrant (the area closest to the underarm) is the most common site on the breast for these changes to occur.

Although there is no cure of Fibrocystic Breast Disease, there are some helpful tips that have been used to decrease some of the symptoms of this condition. These include:

Cut back on caffeine-Caffeine has been linked with breast tenderness. Try to cut back on the caffeine. It may really make a difference.
Invest in a good bra- Your breast may become more painful they are allowed to move too much. Limit their movement by wearing a supportive bra like a sports bra. Wearing a bra at night may also be helpful.
Apply heat or cold-Some women find relief of their symptoms by using a heat back or ice pack. Try alternating them. Do not apply either one for longer than 15 minutes.
Try Herbs-There are some herbs that may help with breast pain. These include: Vitamin B1, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Evening Primrose Oil
See your Doctor-If your breast pain is affecting your daily activities you may choose to see your doctor or health care provider.
Never assume that a breast lump is just a cyst. If you have a breast lump that is new, speak with your doctor immediately. Breast pain can also be an indicator of some forms of breast cancer. Speak with your doctor if you notice anything, even pain, that is abnormal for you.
